I learned to use a forklift. That may sound boring to you, but as exciting as that experience was, it was WHY I needed to use one that was really exciting. After three months of anticipation, Lori arrived. She's going to be one of our roasters. What, you say, you needed a forklift to get her off the truck? Well, yes. She's 2100 lbs of pure fire and stainless steel. Seven feet tall she can touch the ceiling with her polished exhaust stacks. Smarter than HAL in 2001: A Space Odyssey. And boy can she cook.
Lori is our nickname for our new Loring S15 Falcon roaster. An incredible addition to our team here at ECC. Our old San Franciscan, Frannie, is still our beloved. But we can be more efficient in our roasting and continue our constant journey towards getting the perfect flavor from our perfect beans.
